ECO RESPONSIBILITY

Our work believes that art and culture can change the world, by creating values that will be the basis for the future of the new generations. If we imagine a better place to live in, we dream of a more conscious and responsible world towards the environment. By 2030 we mean to reduce the environmental and energy impact of our cultural activities, adopting eco-responsible actions and so encouraging the green transition.

To begin with the use of recyclable materials for our promotional supports, we strive to work on green ideas which include low environmental impact solutions, as required by the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of United Nations.

Goals

Mobility

we will work to improve sustainable mobility, by providing a new carpooling and sharing service to get around the city, in collaboration with partners and companies with electric and charging power cars. We will also find out about solutions with a minimum environmental impact for short-run and long-run travel, by adopting ground transport instead of air travel and a climate compensation system.

Energy

we will involve our technical staff to set up energy-saving and/or renewable (zero fossil fuel) solutions for lighting and power devices (such as LED lights; LV switchboards; green hydrogen sources; biofuels). We will also monitor and gather data on energy consumption to reduce CO2 emissions.

Water

we will set up filtered water dispensers and aluminum bottles for staff, artists, and guests, in compliance with the plastic-free policy. The distribution of water resources will be managed by minimizing waste and using recyclable/renewable materials with reduced environmental impact.

Waste Management

we will gradually remove all disposable plastic products and arrange a separate collection system in our venues and workplaces to ensure proper sorting. We will use compostable materials and estimate the waste produced by each event.

Paper

we will gradually reduce the use of paper for promotional, press office, and ticketing purposes. We will prefer suppliers with certified printing processes and materials (ISO 140001); furthermore, we will reuse signage according to the principles of circular and biodegradable economy

Food Waste

we will propose zero-kilometer products in the dining spots set up during the events. It is significant to offer locally sourced products in keeping with the local gastronomic culture and the Mediterranean diet. We also want to improve solutions to distribute surplus food and to prevent food waste.

Community

we want to spread the sustainability culture and sustainable development goals through thematic insights, workshops, and communication activities of the Festival, encouraging voluntary initiatives of eco-responsibility and focusing on the issues of biodiversity and resource-saving.

Networking

we will involve national organizations, associations, and institutions actively engaged in sustainability in the Campania Region for the development, empowerment, and dissemination of virtuous practices. We will also submit a questionnaire to the audience to get the audience’s feedback and map his journey from home to the events and vice versa
