DAL SÉ VIRTUALE AL SÉ CORPOREO

Fondazione Campania dei Festival is a partner in the new educational project promoted by Istituto ISIS Elena di Savoia in Naples and financed by the Campania Region as part of the “Scuola Viva” programme.

"Dal sé virtuale al sé corporeo" will develop as a theatre workshops’ series taking place from Wednesday the 4th of October 2023 until February 2024. Divided into two modules, ”Il corpo scenico" and "La Maschera Corporea nella Commedia dell'arte", the project is addressed to those students with strong interest in theatrical disciplines and practices.

Lessons will be held by four tutors: Nadia Baldi, Claudio di Palma, Renato Salvetti and Enzo Mirone. They will guide students through the study of theatrical techniques allowing body and voice to express themselves with full awareness and emotional intelligence.

IL CORPO SCENICO (October 2023 – November 2023)

Theatre gives the precious opportunity to listen and experience oneself in something other than us, through new ways of feeling, thinking, acting and experiencing new roles. It allows you to really know your own resources and limits, while bringing positive contributions in terms of creativity, personal well-being and emotional exchange.

Goal of this module is the enhancement of its participants' expressive abilities, and the broadening of their consciousness and self-expression. This will be achieved through a process going from listening to one's own inner rhythm to body movement and expression of the deeper self through improvisation, to finally get to the representation of one's own experiences, embodied in a made-up character.

LA MASCHERA CORPOREA NELLA COMMEDIA DELL'ARTE (December 2023 – February 2024)

Commedia dell'Arte’s masks belong to a complex and centuries-old tradition rooted in the European theatre. This module is designed as a playful journey and an anthropological experience in that universe of archetypal physical masks dotting the characters of the Commedia dell'Arte and their respective regional typicalities.

Postures, movements and scores will be therefore reconstructed to identify Commedia’s codified characters, so that, by working on their own bodies, students can learn to really wear a body mask before a leather one.

The goal will be the reconstruction of characters, from the first plot to the final staging.
