This year Quartieri di vita comes back again. The educational festival of social theatre directed by Ruggero Cappuccio, with the support of the Campania Region, is organized by the Fondazione Campania dei Festival, chaired by Alessandro Barbano. The festival aims to support the theatre organisations, operating in Naples and the entire territory of Campania, which have been working for years in support of the vulnerable social groups.

This year, too, the event will affect not only Naples but also numerous centres in the region: from the prison of Secondigliano, the Sala Assoli, through the Teatro Nuovo and a part of Mercadante Theatre, up to the provinces of Benevento, Salerno, and Caserta. Theatre is also meant as the possibility of training not only as actors: in recent years the festival has traced a path that has led the workshops’ participants to acquire professional skills useful for the full employment in the theatre field as set designers, costume designers, or technicians.
