The Docufilm recounts the workshop developed on the themes of Pirandello’s Sei personaggi in cerca d’autore with the citizens / users of the Unità Operativa di Salute Mentale of Santa Maria Capua Vetere and Capua.
Madame Pace is the seventh character in Pirandello’s work. Ruffian, excessive, vulgar is the lever that triggers the mechanism that puts the manager in front of the excessive artificiality of the representation staged by his actors.
Madama Pace was the stimulus for us to talk about inauthentic messages that are confronted with authentic emotions; springboard that allowed us to tell ourselves, to get involved, to externalize the difficulty, to be recognized. To be perceived as a story that deserves to be told. To be able to be like this. Just as it is. Without being judged. Without being locked up in the stigma cage.
Madama Pace is a further step in the research path of Mutamenti / Teatro Civico 14 aimed at citizens / users of UOSM 21 and 22, open to actors and artists.
